Thunderstock Class 2011
1- Min. Wheelbase 108 inch, all cars must be same make and model per car brand.
2- All cars must retain all stock body parts front to rear and must retain stock front and rear firewalls. Must retain stock floor pans and rocker panels.
3-Can run aftermarket front nosepiece.
4- Can remove front and rear inner fenders. But must have rear firewall complete.
5- Must remove all glass and flammable material from the car.
6- No excessive gutting if material is removed roll cage must be put in place.
7- Can gut rear trunk area of car.
8-Leaf spring cars must retain all stock frames front to rear and cannot connect frame rail underneath car.
9- No x- ing of any cars underneath period!!!
Suspension
1- All a-frames must remain stock for that make and model car, and must mount in unaltered stock locations.
2- Racing springs ok and racing shocks ok but must mount in stock locations, and be stock type shocks. no adjustable shocks of any kind!! Spacers ok up front but cannot be adjustable. Shims on rear only.
3- All rear ends must be stock for that make and model car. And all trailing arms must be stock and be in stock OEM mounting brackets and in OEM locations on chassis and rear end. Everything unaltered and stock!!
4- Can run locked rear end, by either a mini spool or welding
5- Must retain all stock steering components
6- Must have working 4 wheel brakes. No rear disc brakes unless it came standard equipment.
7- Must run stock sway bar and must mount in stock location and mounts.
8- And must run a driveshaft loop
Tires and Wheels
1- Steel wheels only maximum width 8-inch’s
2-Tires must be the Towel city recap BLUE DOT and must have the horizontal dot on tire
Engine and Drive train
1-Maximum Cubic Inch- 350 for Chevy and 351 for Ford, Maximum bore .060
2- All motors must retain all stock type parts, such as block, crank and rods, must weight stock weights. crank must weight 50 lb or more and cannot be lighten in any way, can only drill holes to balanced crank. Rods cannot weight any lighter than 540 grams. Pistons cannot extrude out of block. Must run OEM block no bowties ect. Must run stock stroke
3- Must run 2 or 4 eyebrow Piston With all eyebrows being the same design, and size. No dome pistons.
4- Heads must be stock OEM heads with no larger than 1.94 int. and 1.5 exh. And must remain stock. No porting or polishing of any kind. No vortex no double humps no bowties no pros no darts basically no aftermarket heads! Heads must be no less than 72 cc at a finished product. No angle milling of heads..
5- Can run screw in studs and guide plates, but must run stock rocker arms. 1.5 ratio. Stud girdles are ok
6- Must run hyd cam max. lift 450, no rollers of any type
7- Can run cast iron stock OEM intake or stock OEM aluminum, no high rise or bowtie intakes must have OEM numbers, no porting or polishing of any type.
8- Have to run a stock 4412 2 barrel carb. Only thing that can be removed is the choke parts. There will be a track swap rule enforced by the track.
9- Can run aluminum pulleys on engine and aluminum radiator
10- Exhaust can be stock OEM cast iron, no center dumps and all manifolds must be unaltered. Or you can run headers under the chassis type only, no stepped type headers and cannot be any larger than 1 5/8 tube size with a 3in collector and cannot run any larger than 2 1/2 in pipes. If you run manifolds you can deduct 50lb from over all weight. There will be a 150 dollar claim on any headers on any car
11- Must run automatic transmission and must run a working torque converter. No smaller than 10 in diam. NO DIRECT DRIVES. No lock up torque converters, no TCI stepped converters, no internal or external hoses of any kind in or on transmission. this will be strictly enforced!!!
12- No oil coolers inside car
13- Engines must be in stock location, can run solid mounts.
Weight and specs.
1- All cars must weigh 3350 lb at the end of the feature event with the driver, and cannot be any more than 55.0% left side weight
2- Cars cannot be any lower than 6in at any 4 corners of the car with the driver in the car.
3- Must run racing belts, and window net
4- Racing seat and fuel cell are required
5- All cars must have at least a 4 point roll cage in the car with 4 door bars on drivers side and 3 on passenger side. Can run bars thru the front and the rear of car, but cannot X brace car underneath the car.
6- No cutting frame as for to shorten or widen frame it must remain stock unaltered!!! NO altering of wheelbase..
7- If you make your own bumpers they cannot be any larger than 1-½ diam pipe or 2 x 2 sq tubing and must be capped on all ends and cannot exceed past center of the tires on front. Rear cannot exceed width of body.
